Today, we're introducing you to Mix #46. Possibly one of the most innovative album genres to ever appear in music, the rock opera brings an entirely new style of songwriting to an artist's catalog. It is a chance for the artist to tell a story, both with lyrics and music to create an immersive experience that goes beyond just a four-minute sampling of their creativity.
You may notice a couple of familiar names on this list who completed their rock operas as part of their experimental phase. You also may notice some artists appearing on this list more than once. Not for lack of selection in the genre, but because they were able to produce so many that were integral to their sound.
